Sunday sessions

Monty's Chocolates, Paddington

If you are in the area of Paddington (Brisbane), you HAVE to get to this place - Monty's Chocolates.
...A tiny, cosy little store filled with walls of chocolates and sweets (are you sold yet?) The hot chocolate is to die for (not your run-of-the-mill hot chocolate but real hot chocolate... liquid. chocolate. in. a. cup.
!!!
SO GOOD!
The store is owned and run by husband and wife Steve and Dory. The service is wonderful. You feel like you're having hot chocolate at a friends place (a friend with a super-gorgeous place, that is) As well as beautiful decor, fresh flowers, reading material... What more could you want!?

This lovely little chocolate boutique is my new favourite place.

Have you been somewhere especially great lately? Do tell! x

What a weekend!

After our wonderful day at the markets, we headed back to the Valley to scout out somewhere to rest our bones and cool us down in the crazy heat! We found Flamingo Cafe. An awesome little laneway cafe off Winn St (behind Ann Street, Fortitude Valley) The best smoothies, the cutest interior/exterior and the most entertaining staff. What a kick!

We had smoothies (forgotten what they were called though) and a sausage roll with spicy pumpkin jam (yum!)
Would definitely recommend you check this place out. Perfect place for a Sunday afternoon pitstop... Or anytime for that matter! Check it out here

I never usually feel it but today I have the Monday morning blues.

A little bit in love...

...with the JCrew spring collection

...Warm neutrals, with a few earthy tones, a splash of zesty colour and a little bit of sparkle. Perfection.
My favourite piece is this beautiful metallic maxi skirt. (Wow!)
I'm just wondering where I would wear it... Cocktails with the girls? Dinner on Valentines Day? Work (when I need a bit of a boost)?
Honestly, It's so pretty, it doesn't matter where it's worn... I just want it please!

What do you think? Do you have a favourite piece?

And for him...

Mix tapes.
Rewind the years and make him a mix tape of your favourite songs together.
(Or if you'd rather be al techy and cool, check out this quirky mix tape usb stick from BusyBoo. Love it!)
A little bit of love.
These lovely little recycled paper heart stickers.
Stick them in a different spot each day and remind him just how much you love him. From CaliforniaCraft
Food, glorious food!
Warm his heart (via his tummy) with these cute little pies in a jar
Order them from the lovely AllJarredUp Etsy store (US only)
A big day out you can both enjoy!
Take him on a roadtrip to his favourite place of old and rediscover your inner child.

The magical Mr Magorium

What a magical film.
I wonder why life doesn't always feel quite as magical and wonderful as it seems in the movies... Is the magic something we grow out of, or forget... or do we just forget to remember?
Well I want to live in a world like Mr Magorium's Wonder Emporium...
And if I can't do that, then at least I can dress like I do...

Spotted Scallop Collar Dress, Topshop
...wear it like Mahoney with a classic denim jacket
or layer over a fun patterned skivvy like so

Accessorise with your very favourite hat, just like Eric
Some wonderfully cosy, colourful socks paired with bright ballet flats
And finally, your very own "Block of Wood" just like Mahoneys!
(hopefully yours is magical too)
Hat from kumimakiko, necklace from FancyPop

"Your life is an occasion... Rise to it!" - Mr Magorium
